Dark Side of the Moon: Vinyl Redesign
This project is a piece that I hold close to my heart, because I chose to recreate a personal favorite by Pink Floyd. The goal of this piece was to maintain the original qualities of the traditional album, while also adding a modern twist. Using my geometric and minimalist style of design, I put a spin on their trademark. I used watercolors and rustic textures to mimic what I believe it would feel like to be on the moon. Since this album is arguably one of their more well-known albums, I didn’t think it would be right to remove their legendary triangle, so instead I made it the subject of the album. I kept the typography simple so that the viewer can interpret this piece however they choose.
